Sara's 5! Ballerina birthday party!

Yesterday was our sweet Sara's 5th birthday!  It's so hard to believe, because I still have those moments when I look at her and think, "I'm a mom!!!" Every stage that she has grown through has been so fun.  I'm always wondering and looking forward to what's around the corner!

Well Sara has been planning her party for a total of 364 days.  Ever since her Frozen PJ themed party last year, she has been thinking up ideas for this years party!  After she told me she wanted another Frozen party, I convinced her to pick something else that she likes and we'd do a party like that.  Anyone who knows Sara knows how girly she is.  She took a ballet class this year and LOVED it!  She loved twirling around in her tutu and ballet slippers.  So when we came up with the ballerina party idea, she was so excited!

Here's Sara with Callie, her Journey Girl. Both dressed as ballerinas, ready for her party!

Pose, Sara! (wearing her auntie Katie's old ballet slippers!)

Wand decorating. (I only allowed markers and stickers so I didn't have to clean up paint and glitter. #momshortcut )

Ballerina snacks. These didn't turn out near as cute as they looked on Pinterest! #pinterestfail

Pink ballerina treats. I'm sure all the moms were sooo happy that I filled their kids bellies with pizza and pink sugar and then sent them home. Hee hee! #yeahforred40

Sara and one of her best buddies, Ryan. The two shyest kids in last years preschool class! They stuck together and became best friends :)

Opening presents....goof.

After opening presents, one of the girls yells, "group hug!" and everyone piled on Sara. These girls cracked me up!

Vanessa, Emily, Naudia, Aileen, Eva, Sara and Ryan.

Before I even got the cupcake in front of Sara, they had sung 'Happy Birthday' about five times.

Sweet little sister.  I wasn't paying attention...I think she may have had three cupcakes! oops...

Granny playing "Ballerina says" with the girls.  Like Simon Says, but with balleri......you get it.

Sweet Granny!

She's good...

Sully patiently waiting outside, smiling. #dirtywindow #dognoseart

My two party helpers! Best helpers in the world! I am so thankful for these two!!!

LOVE seeing her so happy and full of life!

My FAVORITE picture! I couldn't stop laughing at this pic of Aileen and Sara. Sara being a weirdo, and Aileen taking a picture on her Hello Kitty phone. Bahahah!!!

She is SO weird. She gets that from me :)

Sweet sisters! Emmy was such a good sport at the party!

Sulley's done for the day.  He's glad its all over...and so am I!
Planning for next years party starts tomorrow! ;)

Easter 2015

We had a great Easter day yesterday!  We have been so busy this month, so we had to pull everything together last minute for the girls.  I went to Walmart on Saturday night to buy them some goodies so they could have some fun things on Easter.  We love candy, but we have a candy stash at home that is growing so much, that we decided to get some non-candy things this year.  Nightgowns, movies, little dollies, sidewalk chalk, and just a few snacks.  Granny and Gramps got the girls each a flower pot and some cute, tiny, fairy garden things.  How creative! They have been wanting to plant a fairy garden for a long time!  The girls each picked out their own Easter dress this year at Marshalls, and sweet daddy Johnny couldn't say no to his girls when they asked if they could have the dresses.  We went to church in the morning, and spent the rest of the day at grandma and grandpas house.  The girls did an Easter egg hunt, and also found their special baskets.  Here are some pics of our day!

First a photo shoot of the girls lovely dresses and fabulous hair do's!  Sara asked for an Elsa braid.

Matching Dora sandals that ended up rubbing their ankles raw! But they sure looked cute!

Perfect little Sara pose.

Sara and Em's fairy garden kits from Granny and Gramps.

Emmy has located her Easter basket and she doesn't know what to do next. She stood there and pointed at it for a good 30 seconds!

Sara's on the hunt. We played "hot and cold" with her to help her find her basket.

Some kisses from sweet Abby.

Our attempt at a family picture! Oh well!

I am thankful for my family, for my church, and for my friends...but most of all I am thankful for the huge sacrifice that Jesus made for me so that we could have eternal life.
